In this career, you travel to a client's location to assist in IT service installation, repair, or general support.
Your responsibilities often involve working to diagnose an issue and then troubleshooting to solve the problem for the client.
You work with more-complex matters that the client cannot resolve with phone support.
This career may require extensive communication with clients, so communication skills are vital.THE ROLETechnologyProvide technical and administrative support of Personal Computers (hardware,peripherals and software) in an onsite capacity.Ability to use help desk tools to log/monitor/close client calls.Maintain awareness of developments in the information technology industryMaintain systems software and hardware documentation and where appropriate asset system information.Liaise with relevant Lines of Service (LOS) to provide first level technical LAN/WAN support, system backups (servers, where required) and emergency site visits (server down, etc).
