Daniel's Donuts is Australian, and we proudly say that we are the number one destination for anyone looking for donuts, pies, coffee & shakes. Starting as a family-owned business, we are rapidly expanding, having a network of over 50 stores and three state of the art manufacturing facilities.
**Purpose of Role**
The _**Warehouse Assistant**_ will mainly support the Warehouse Manager in day-to-day warehouse operations.You will play a crucial role in collaborating within our Warehouse team to ensure the seamless flow of materials within our business, guaranteeing the on-time delivery of our customer orders. You will support factory operations by ensuring that the right goods, in the right quantities, have arrived. You will also help unload deliveries, move the goods within the warehouse, store them appropriately and process outgoing customer orders.
Full training will be provided, but experience is a definite advantage in this hands-on role. You must be reliable, computer literate, physically capable of some heavy lifting and have your own transport. The role does involve freezer work with the provision of protective clothing.
**Key Responsibilities**
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing support to the Warehouse Manager on day-to-day operations
- Dispatching and receiving goods
- Staging/Put-away received stock to allocated area
- Issuance process from Warehouse to production (system)
- Picking and dispatching orders
- Unloading container/s
- Ensuring inventory is processed, managed and stored correctly
- Operating machinery such as a forklift and pallet jack
- Warehouse housekeeping
- Palletising from wood to plastic pallets
- Manual handling up to 20kg
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Receiving stock into inventory (system)
- Participating in stock takes, end of month audits and cycle counting which involves accurate counting, data entry and resolution of any discrepancies
- General warehousing functions
- Uphold strict housekeeping standards and adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including always wearing PPE
- Not afraid to be super hands on
**Experience and Qualifications**
Essential experience:
- 3-5 years of experience with warehouse operations and inventory management
- Ability to work at a fast pace whilst maintaining safety standards
- Attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
- Ability to work well within a team environment and independently
- Positive work ethic and a can-do attitude
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and use initiative
- Proficiency in using computers and programs like ERP, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
**Personal Qualities and Behaviours**:
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Adaptability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Problem solving skills, not only be able to identify problems but work though problems to ensure they don't slow down a project.
