About the role

The Board is seeking to appoint an experienced leader to build on the solid foundation that has been put in place by their predecessor and to bring with them their own set of unique skills and talent to lead, inspire and publicly represent the organisation. The CEO in cooperation with the Board will develop the organisation's strategic plan to help ensure their ongoing long-term growth and sustainability. You will also;
- Provide pastoral support and leadership to the staff.
- Develop and articulate a vision, consistent with our Christian values, for the organisation in consultation with the Board and Executive.
- Work with the Executive in developing program specific plans which support the overall strategic plan.
- Meet Government and other regulatory body requirements in areas of governance, fundraising, child safeguarding and WHS.
- Manage key relationships with their major stakeholders.

You possess an entrepreneurial orientation coupled with an ability to build capacity and sustain growth, have a good mix between strategic and operational skills and have a proven track record of success in senior leadership roles where you have built, led and nurtured highly effective and co-operative teams. We are looking for a servant-leader who is strongly aligned to the values of this Christian organisation, who has the ability to inspire and influence others, to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, including Major Donors, Funding Bodies and Government and related Departments at all levels. You will possess integrity, be highly organized, have sound business and financial acumen and have the unique ability to engage people in the work and mission of Concern Australia.

You have a good understanding of finance, compliance and risk for an organisation of their size and complexity and ideally have sound understanding of trauma informed service delivery, out of home care, education and employment and program design. Your solid understanding of the Community services sector will be highly regarded as will your Post Grad management qualifications.
