Responsibilities
Negotiate and draft contracts.
Provide legal counsel on complex legal issues.
Engage in dispute resolution.
Advise clients on commercial risks.
Maintain client relationships.
Conduct thorough legal research.
Stay updated on relevant legal developments.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Commercial Law, Corporate Law, and Property Law;
A background in dispute resolution and litigation is a plus;
Strong skills in negotiation, contract drafting, providing legal advice, and dispute resolution
Ability to identify and assess legal and commercial risks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with legal research and staying current with legal developments
Commercial acumen and ability to understand and adapt to clients' needs
Experience with innovative strategies and integrated technology in legal practice;
Experience with LEAP Legal Software and LexisNexis is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Law (Juris Doctor or LL.B) and admission to practice law in Victoria
Experience in a boutique law firm or similar environment is a plus
A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience;
Mid-tier or top-tier experience or similar experience working within a team in an advisory in-house role is a plus.
Ability to work autonomously.
