We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Director to join our team and contribute to our vision.

**Role Overview**: As the Assistant Director of our OOSH program, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations and overall management of our center. You will work closely with the Director to ensure the smooth running of the program, support staff, and provide exceptional care and educational experiences for the children.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Program Management**: Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating engaging and age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental needs and interests.
- **Business & Risk Management**:Manage all financial management and operations of the centre, with accountant support Resolve parent grievances, behaviour management and staffing issues
- **Leadership Essential Skills**:Effective communication, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, decision making, financial acumen, team building, managing ratios.
- **Staff Support**: Support the Director in supervising and mentoring staff, including facilitating training and professional development opportunities.
- **Administrative Duties**: Help manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling, record-keeping, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Parent and Community Engagement**: Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers, addressing concerns and providing updates on their children's progress.
- **Safety and Compliance**: Ensure the program adheres to all relevant health, safety, and educational standards, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an OOSH or similar child care setting.
- **Checks**: Must have a current Working With Children Checks.
- **Education**: Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Along, with current approved First Aid qualification and the Identify and Respond to Children at Risk unit of competency.
- **Skills**: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- **Attributes**: Passionate about working with children, with a genuine commitment to their well-being and development. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing needs.

Pay: $33.46 - $40.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
