As a teacher at St Joseph's, you will promote our school as a place of learning and excellence, adhering to contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles, including digital learning. You will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that positively impact student learning outcomes. Additionally, you will work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

- **Innovate Learning**: Support and drive contemporary, inquiry-based teaching and learning, rich in thinking and technology.
- **Collaborate**: Work with the school's leadership team and the CSO Digital Innovation and Learning team to act as a catalyst for change and build teacher capacity to improve student outcomes.
- **Resource Management**: Manage the library, develop the library space and resources (both physical and digital), supported by the School Officer/Library Assistant.
- **Teamwork**: Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop contemporary teaching methods, ensuring effective curriculum delivery for the benefit of students.

**EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA**
- Commitment to Catholic Education: Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools.
- Teaching Excellence: Demonstrated successful teaching and behavior management strategies with the ability to plan and evaluate contemporary and innovative learning opportunities in collaboration with teachers.
- Best Practices: Demonstrated ability to share best practices regarding innovative and emerging technologies and information literacy through the KLAs.
- Library Management: Ability to manage a contemporary library space and oversee library personnel, volunteers, and external providers.
- Data Utilisation: Ability to effectively utilise data to assess and provide feedback, optimise educational outcomes, and source an engaging and relevant physical and virtual collection.
- Library Software Knowledge: A sound knowledge of ALICE/OLIVER library software (desirable).

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Four-year trained teacher classification with at least five years of successful teaching experience.
- Postgraduate qualification in Library and Information Management or Teacher Librarianship, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience (e.g., Master of Applied Science (Teacher Librarianship), Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship), or Master of Information Services (Teacher Librarian)), or a willingness to enroll and complete within 4 years of employment.
- Active NESA Accreditation.
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
- Completion of anaphylaxis training.
- Completion of CPR training.

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
