**The Gandel Simulation Service in partnership with the University of Melbourne is a comprehensive hospital wide in situ simulation service. We have a strong focus on translational simulation for quality improvement and simulation based education in the real clinical space. We liaise across the entire organisation and have links to all clinical and support services, as well as working closely with the clinical education program, quality and safety unit, and University of Melbourne.
**Your contribution**

The Clinical Educator - Simulation position is an exciting opportunity within the Gandel Simulation Service to work with internal and external stakeholders, support the expansion of the Women's simulation service, and to report on prescribed deliverables. The Clinical Educator will collaborate across professions and services to deliver and evaluate the impact of interprofessional simulation on patient safety and patient experience.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Develop and deliver a wide range of simulation programs that improves teamwork and communication of the interprofessional team
- Role model a positive 'can do' approach and exceptional practice that promotes psychological safety, high performance teams, human factors and systems thinking
- Work in collaboration with content and simulation experts, consumers, and internal and external stakeholders

**About you**

To be successful within this role you will need to have:

- Registered Midwife and/or Registered Nurse with extensive post registration experience
- Extensive clinical skills in emergency care
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating interprofessional simulation, presentations, and/or group facilitation
- Demonstrated ability to create positive learning and reflective practice environments for learners at all levels
- Demonstrated understanding of current evidence-based simulation and clinical learning practice
- Strong verbal and written communication, with engaging public speaking skills
- High level coordination and organisational skills

**COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement**

**Influenza Vaccination Requirement**

In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required.

As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza. Evidence of vaccination is required.
