WPC Group has a fantastic opportunity to start a Boilermaker Apprenticeship based at Perth Airport. You will be working with a nation-wide transport company assisting team members to implement and improve manufacturing systems and processes. You will be using heavy machinery and completing physically demanding duties such as welding.

- Obtain a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade upon completion of this apprenticeship

Your duties:

- Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements
- Cut, roll, shape, bend, mould, spin, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies
- Heat treat metal parts and components
- Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or computer
- Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting

- Have excellent communication skills
- Trustworthy, honest and motivated
- Physically fit
- Strength to handle materials, tools and machines
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Committed to a 4 year apprenticeship
- Problem-solving skills
- Enjoy technical activities
- Drivers licence is preferred but not essential

Pay: Up to $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
