Before you apply, please note that although our furry clients are definitely adorable, this role is more than just playing with puppies all day. As Pet Minders, we must be resourceful, reliable, safety-minded and responsible with the pets and homes under our care. Every day is a new adventure with new challenges, but this is the kind of work where you see the positive difference you make in the lives of your clients on a daily basis, and get rewarded with big fluffy hugs We are ideally also looking for new team members who are capable of handling large breed dogs.

This is a sub-contractor position (super included). This role is best suited to someone who has another part time position and/or study commitments, and is wanting another income source to supplement their current role. We are growing in the Springfield area, and therefore looking for someone who can grow with us in the initial start up phase as we increase in popularity and hours increase.

DESCRIPTION
- Dog Walking: 30 to 60 minute dog walks in the dog's neighbourhood, the beach or the park. Up to two dogs maximum.
- Pet Sitting: Daily 25 to 60 minute visits to the client's homes to care for their dogs, cats or small animals.
- House Sitting - Overnight stays in client's homes for one or multiple nights. This is a must and something you must be comfortable doing.

QUALITIES

This role is best suited for people who:

- Love animals above all else
- Have incredible communications skills, both with their team and with clients
- Enjoy travelling to various locations, love being outdoors and love being active
- Are reliable and trustworthy - clients rely on us to care for their pets and stick to the time agreed upon - that means no last-minute cancellations
- Are able to work independently and use initiative and decision-making skills to resolve problems quickly and efficiently
- Are friendly, approachable and love dealing with the families of the pets under their care.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- ABN
- Police check
- Public Liability Insurance (we can suggest some providers)
- Drivers licence and access to own vehicle
- Mobile phone and data plan
- Previous experience with animals and animal behaviour/handling knowledge but not essential
- Pet first aid certification (can be completed in your first week of work with us)
- Available relatively flexible hours throughout the week and weekend, including some public holidays and can cater to some last-minute jobs.
