**About the Centre/Service**

Clifton Street Children Centre (CSCC) offers quality childcare in a parent-managed, community-based childcare centre for children from six months to school age, we incorporate funded 3-year-old and 4-year-old Kindergarten Programs in our long day care program. We value play-based learning and provide non-rushed, open-ended programs emphasizing natural and recycled play materials. Our programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). Clifton Street Children Centre is a child safe organisation and is committed in everyday practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, at all times. **Description**

Clifton street children centre are seeking a Part-time Educator Leader (8 hours contact and 24 hours of non-contact) to join our beautiful service in Northcote. We are an exceeding service, dedicated to providing high-quality Early Years Education in line with the National Quality Framework and our Centre philosophy. **About the role** As the Educational Leader, you will work with the Leadership team to lead and inspire the service educational team in their continuous improvement of practice and pedagogy. You will also have the support of our parent run committee to further the learning and development of their children. Your day-to-day work will involve motivating, supporting and mentoring educators through engagement in professional conversations and critical reflection, hands-on learning, and professional development opportunities. You will empower and support others to build capacity for continuous improvement and work with the Team to develop engaging and inspiring learning environments that are inclusive of all children and CSCC community members. The role of Educational Leader will also require you to lead the development and implementation of the Educational Program and Practice at CSCC. You will also help to support the team with their own learning and development to best guide the children.

**Qualifications**
- Possess an approved Early Childhood Teaching degree **or** an approved Diploma level qualification for the purposes of the education and care services, national law and regulations
- Demonstrated understanding of:

- National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting
- Workplace Health and Safety issues
- Willing to be proactive in implementing curriculum
- Demonstrated leadership skills within Children Services
- Be passionate about providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide written, accurate documentation supporting practice and compliance requirements.
- Be committed to ongoing quality improvement.
- Have the ability to maintain positive relationships with all members of the Clifton Street Children Centre community.
- Possess the following:

- Current VIT Registration or Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid (HLTAID012
- Mandatory Reporting
- Do Food Safely

You will be employed under the Professional Community Standard 2021 with excellent working conditions, paid overtime, opportunities for professional development, and direct support from the leadership team. A parent-run Committee of Management will also support you.**Requirements**:
