**About the Team**

Become a part of a dedicated team of health, safety and wellbeing professionals, focused on driving a safety always culture, supporting the health and wellbeing of our workforce and facilitating the implementation of best practice processes and systems.

With the team being a part of our wider Human Resources department, this role will see you working and collaborating with your colleagues to offer a full suite of people focused initiatives in support of the broader Rheinmetall team.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for data management and systems administration on HSE activities, processes and reporting and supporting all Rheinmetall Defence Australia (RDA) projects.
- As the HSE Advisor, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

- Coordinate and conduct HSE audits, inspections and minor investigations and propose new systems of work to enhance existing performance.
- Prepare, update and periodically review HSE policies, procedures and project safety plans.
- Support and coordinate HSE compliance training in order to reinforce a continuous improvement culture and compliance with all relevant legislation and certification requirements.
- Coordinate and assist in the management of Fitness and Wellbeing programs.
- Maintain a variety of registers and complete documents to assist in maintaining ISO4500:2018; certification standard.
- MyOSH Database administration.
- Deliver face-to-face site inductions to new starters and contractors.
- Compile a variety of data to generate monthly reports.
- Coordinate the HSE Committee acting as secretary and developing agenda's.
- Support in the development of initiatives designed to engage employees in improving HSE outcomes and culture.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health Safety.
- Proven experience as a HSE systems administrator.
- Intermediate level capability of MS Office Suite.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with attention to detail, while also achieving goals / deadlines.
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).

**Highly desirable for this position**:

- Certificate in Return to Work Coordinator.
- Experience within a heavy machinery manufacturing or workshops environment.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
- SharePoint Site owner or advanced SharePoint expertise.
- Internal auditing training.
- Conduct investigations.
- Familiar with managing MyOSH incident reporting database.
