The **Future Generation Joint Venture** brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct **Snowy 2.0**. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

**Purpose of the Role**:
The Deputy Construction Manager is responsible for supporting the Construction Manager in overseeing and coordinating all construction activities, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a construction management role.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
- White Card
- C Class driver's licence

**Experience**:

- Minimum 8 years' experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Extensive experience in tunnelling projects or underground construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.

**Required Competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency coordinating construction activities, resources and schedules.
- Highly effective leadership and team management skills to guide and motivate construction teams.
- Familiarity with local and international safety regulations and standards in construction.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams, stakeholders, contractors and the client.
- Ability to identify and effectively address construction-related challenges.
- Sound decision-making skills to ensure project progress and compliance.
- Experience in managing construction budgets and financial resources.
- Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Key collaborative skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

**Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Construction Manager overseeing all construction activities, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to coordinate construction schedules and resource allocation.
- Ensure construction activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure construction meets project specifications.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Address and resolve construction-related conflicts or issues that may arise during project execution.
- Assist in monitoring construction budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with construction activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in construction operations.
