We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to support our Sydney, Australia office.
About the Opportunity
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile energy transition projects in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to transmission infrastructure projects and connections to the grid.
Provide legal assistance on the administration of contracts during the project delivery phase.
Advise on the implications of changes in the legal and regulatory environment, particularly in relation to The National Electricity Laws and Rules.
Ideal Candidate
Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand.
Minimum 5 years PAE with experience in projects from time spent in private practice and/or inhouse.
Prior experience providing regulatory advice would be highly advantageous.
Requirements
Strong commercial drafting, reviewing, and negotiating skills.
Ability to work well as a team and autonomously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
