**About the role**

This role will see you primarily accountable for developing and implementing a training program to guide your colleagues on information management processes, provide direction and support in all privacy and confidentiality-related matters, and coordinate the existing hybrid management of paper-based and digital records.

**Other key responsibilities include**:

- Oversee the transition from paper to electronic record-keeping and supporting teams to achieve this success
- Respond to information management enquiries and requests for information from both internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver training to staff on information management processes where required
- Advise management on the implementation or operation of compliance requirements
- Consult with Executive Leadership Team and Extended Leadership Team as necessary
- Establish and maintain information and policy management system and contribute to projects which continuously improve the way our client collects, uses, stores, manages, and disposes of information
- Assist with enquiries related to privacy and with the interpretation of the Agency Privacy policy and procedures and the Privacy Act
- Previous experience as a Privacy Officer (approx. 1-2 years)
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
- Excellent knowledge of sector legislation, regulation, standards and codes of practice, and sector 'best practice'
- Capacity to look at records, registers, and the record management process and make recommendations for improvements and efficiency
- Experience in facilitating information management initiatives, including successful planning, implementation, and change management
- Experience in the assessment and migration of source records as part of a system
- Exemplary stakeholder management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to be clear and concise
- Previous work experience with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, Aged Care Commissioner, Office of the Children's Guardian is **highly regarded**:

- Working knowledge of Guardian ERMS, Carelink, and CTARS is desirable.
