About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Nuclear and Capability (N&C) Business Unit, as we grow ASC capabilities to support both Collins Class and Nuclear-Powered Submarine Programs.As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex, long-term business capability growth & enhancement projects.
You will coordinate cross functional teams and ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives within N&C Business Unit.
The Senior Project Manager will be pivotal in establishing and leading project teams, supporting and developing project management talent, establishing project management governance framework, and driving project execution across a diverse portfolio within the N&C Business Unit.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish, lead and manage project teams to deliver strategic objectivesDevelop and maintain project schedules and budgetsDevelop project management governance frameworkEstablish schedule risk assessments and identify and mitigate project risksSupport and develop project management talentCoordinate with key internal and external stakeholdersEnsure compliance with defence and safety standardsReport on project progress to senior leadershipDrive continuous improvement and innovation
About YouMinimum 10 years' experience in complex project environmentsProven leadership in setting up project teams, managing project managers and coordinators, as well as developing talentStrong governance and process development capabilitiesUnderstanding and experience working in centralised services business modelSkilled in managing diverse projects (e.g. supply chain, workforce, technology, infrastructure)Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Primavera P6, Jira, Cobra)Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAutonomous, goal-directed, and capable of managing multiple prioritiesTertiary qualifications in a technical or project management discipline
EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
