**About the facility**

The Barwon Health Pharmacy Department provides an extensive range of pharmacy services to the University Hospital Geelong, McKellar Centre, Community Health Centres and small hospitals in the region. Barwon Health is the first hospital in Australia to adopt ROWA robot technology for our inventory control. In keeping with Barwon Health's commitment as a leading tertiary teaching hospital, the service has an active involvement with education for student and intern pharmacists as well as medical, nursing and other health professionals.

**About the role**

In this role, you will be required to fill a permanent part-time position at Barwon Health's Pharmacy Department, based at The Allerton Family Oncology Pharmacy. The successful applicant may be required to work across all four campuses of Barwon Health. You will be supporting pharmacists with duties including but not limited to:

- Providing quality service to both the dispensary and inpatients of the hospital
- Safely preparing chemotherapy/biotherapy in accordance with training, policy and procedures
- Participating in the day-to-day tasks required to ensure safe and timely delivery of chemotherapy/biotherapy to patients
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately, on time and in accordance with Barwon Health policies and procedures
- Participating in orientation/training of new technicians, and student and pre-registrant pharmacists
- Assisting in the scheduling and labelling of prepared chemotherapy/biotherapy
- Assisting in the dispensing of other medications for ALCC patients

This position will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
