Working closely with the National Trade Sales Manager and your existing team of 10 infield sales professionals, the State Sales Manager for NSW and ACT role will be taking the Lead on growing Haymes Paint's market share and retaining customers through innovative and exciting trade sales strategies across all major customer segments - applicators, resellers/ distributors, construction, and facility maintenance.

**A day in the life...**:

- Develop your strategic State Sales business plan including communication and break down of operational objectives and tracking of execution
- Contribute to the overall trade strategy development
- Ensure a sensational Trade Customer Experience and satisfaction through superior relationships and service (such as product use and training, pricing, promotions and campaigns, trade painter accreditation and training)
- Continuously review, improve and innovate our offerings for markets and customer segments incl. keeping on the pulse of competitor activity, building materials and regulatory changes.
- Deliver on agreed retention strategy, revenue targets, share of wallet, new business growth across all respective product categories and customer segments
- Determine, agree, delegate and monitor monthly and quarterly sales benchmarks and KPIs
- Train, mentor and develop team members via inspirational leadership

**Your primers are**:

- Have significant, sales leadership experience, on state or national levels.
- Excitement to gain and take market share from Goliath (larger corporate competitors) and represent an Australian made and owned organisation that cares for its business and culture
- Be a visible customer and people-focused business leader, able to build relationships with a variety of external plus internal stakeholders
- Well-developed Business acumen and forward-thinking capability to build strategies that align to the broader business goals and drive opportunity pipeline and new initiatives as well as support strong existing business retention and growth
- Desire to lead from the front and work infield with sales team members is critically important, therefore flexibility to travel will be required (and hence an unencumbered driver's licence).
- Empathetic approach to solving problems and conflict and pivot under pressure.
