Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with over 1,700 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.

Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community. In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service opportunities, enabling them to live their life with purpose.

We are seeking to appoint a Careers Practitioner to join the Senior School (Years 9 to 12) team at our Drouin campus in Term 1 next year. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment and provide important support to students and the Senior School team.

The primary responsibility of the Careers Practitioner will be to provide guidance to students about their career choice, employment, training and further educational opportunities.

Some key responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the Head of Senior School in the overall leadership and coordination of career pathways for students
- Keeping staff members informed about developments in vocational training, post-secondary training, and education and employment trends
- Coordinating the work experience program for Year 10 students
- Coordinating the VET (Vocational Education and Training) program
- Demonstrated commitment to the school's Statement of Faith
- Qualifications or experience in careers development, education, human resources or similar (desirable)
- Ability to work as part of a team
- High standard of computer literacy and keyboard skills
- Ability to relate to students and staff members in a caring, friendly and helpful manner
