**POSITION DESCRIPTION - SUPPORT GUIDE**

Travengers AU is an innovative social impact start-up enabling travel and social inclusion for neurodivergent young adults (15-35) who are autistic or have a hidden disability.

**JOB TYPE**: Part time; Independent Contractor

**HOURS**: Successful applicants must be available throughout the week, including weekends, evenings and overnight. We anticipate an initial expectation of between 2-4 hours per week for local events, with trips varying from 1 day to 2 weeks depending on location (e.g., intrastate, interstate or overseas).

**HOURLY RATE**:

- For trips, this role attracts a range of flat rates depending on the type of trip (all travel, accommodation, activities and meal expenses are covered)
- For local events, this role attracts an hourly rate of between $38-$80 depending on experience
- Hourly rates include penalties for evening, overnight, weekend and public holiday work

**LOCATION**:Travengers is a remote-based organisation with no corporate headquarters.

This Support Guide position is located in Brisbane for events; however, from time to time, the incumbent may be asked to support events in other states.

Trips take place across Australia and overseas; therefore, the incumbent should be comfortable with interstate, intrastate and international travel.

**REPORTING MANAGER**: Sophie Shaw, **Trip Coordinator and HR Specialist**

**RESPONSIBLE FOR**: N/A

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Support with community access & recreational activities in a group setting
- Provide social & emotional support to young neurodivergent adults
- Meet the group at designated points & travel with them via public transport or driving
- Plan & facilitate social events
- Assist in skill building during events & travel
- Travel with the group based on an itinerary, by hire vehicles, public transport, & flights
- Work closely with Senior Support Guides to ensure a quality experience for our travellers/customers
- Option to facilitate a weekly remote social group (via Zoom)

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Legal right to work in Australia
- ABN or willingness to obtain one
- 2 professional references
- First Aid & CPR certified
- Working with Children Check & Police Check
- Driver's licence & reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Valid passport (optional - a requirement for international travel)
- Relevant work experience
