RoleWe are looking for a fun, kind and caring Early Years Assistant who has a real passion for the children to join our lovely, well-established private day nursery.
We are based in South Croydon, Greater London and are a family run Nursery that has been open since 1995.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and maintaining professional relationships with parents and carersSupporting children with their individual personal hygiene needsProviding effective and regular feedback to parents on their child's day, personal development and any other relevant informationEnsuring a bright and stimulating, attractive room with colourful, appropriate activities and displays showing children's workAssisting with care, maintenance and security of all equipment and toys within the nurserySupervising children at all times indoors and outdoors including mealtimes and snack breaksRequirements and QualitiesIf you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career in child care, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
To be considered for the Early Years Assistant role you must have a love of children and a genuine warmth towards them.

ScheduleDay shiftMonday to FridayNo weekendsSafeguarding and ComplianceAt Kinderland Day Nursery Ltd we work with children, parents, external agencies, and the community to ensure the welfare and safety of children and to give them the very best start in life.
Children have the right to be treated with respect, be helped to thrive and to be safe from any abuse in whatever form.
We support the children within our care, protect them from maltreatment and have robust procedures in place to prevent the impairment of children's health and development.
In our setting we strive to protect children from the risk of radicalisation, and we promote acceptance and tolerance of other beliefs and cultures.Designated Safeguarding LeadWe have named persons within the nursery who take lead responsibility for safeguarding and coordinate child protection and welfare issues, known as the Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL).
There is always at least one designated person on duty during the opening hours of the setting.All applicants should be aware that a huge part of the role is ensuring children are continuously safeguarded from any harm.
Any job offers will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, thorough referencing, an induction programme, and 3 months' probation period.
All successful candidates will be given lots of training upon starting their role.The amendments to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020) provide that certain convictions and cautions are considered 'protected'.
Guidance about whether a conviction or caution should be disclosed can be found on the Ministry of Justice website.
Please detail any criminal convictions except those spent or protected under the Act.
