At Melbourne Hand Rehab, our specialists understand that all aspects of life are affected by our patient's ability to use their hands. We are committed to getting our patients back to doing the things they love as soon as possible. We offer a comprehensive range of hand therapy and rehabilitation services, including therapeutic interventions, post-operative rehabilitation, pain management programs, and work site assessments. Our goal is to help our patients return to their day-to-day activities quickly and efficiently.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Hand Therapist located in Caroline Springs, VIC. The Hand Therapist will be responsible for providing therapeutic interventions, creating and implementing rehabilitation programs, conducting pain management sessions, and assessing patients' work sites for ergonomic improvements. Additional responsibilities include educating patients on joint protection and creating custom splints and braces as needed.
Qualifications (if post-graduate Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Qualifications (if experienced Hand Therapist)
Proficiency in therapeutic interventions, post-operative care, and rehabilitation programs
Knowledge in pain management, arthritis management programs, and hydrotherapy
Experience in conducting work site assessments and ergonomic recommendations
Skills in creating and fitting splints, braces, and waterproof fracture casts
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
