About the Role
Our Head of Department (Digital Technologies) oversees the following tasks;
Quality-assure all curriculum documents (Year/Band Plans, Unit Plans, Assessment Tasks)
Lead teaching and learning collaboration, including attendiing and presenting at staff and faculty meetings
Lead the development and implementation of Digital learning / pedagogies across all faculty areas
Model appropriate behaviours as a leader within the CPSSC community
Coach and/or mentor all teachers in relation to QLearn development, AI and VR across faculty areas
Model professional conduct as a leader, including a commitment to improvement
Celebrate successes of staff
Write newsletter articles or Facebook posts to share with the community
Work towards constant improving for your department - development of year 9 resources
Analyse data to identify trends and areas for growth
Support teachers to manage students effectively by following the school processes
Maintain the facilities owned by your department (eg. classrooms, IT, furniture), conduct stocktakes, and arrange for all equipment and areas to be cleaned regularly
Plan an appropriate budget and manage spending accordingly
Oversee health and safety in your faculty, including assuming responsibility for managing the safety of students and staff in CARAs, excursions, camps, etc. (as applicable).
