**About the Role**:
As a Sewerage Transfer Technical Leader, reporting to the Manager Sewerage Transfer Operations you will be based at our Brooklyn Pumping Station and be responsible for Safely, reliably and efficiently operate Melbourne's Sewerage Transfer System, while also enabling maintenance and capital improvements.

Your key responsibilities include:

- Critical review of functional requirements for OT, IT, minor and major capital works.
- Represent Sewerage Transfer Operations for OT, IT, minor and major capital projects in planning, development and delivery.
- Represent Sewerage Transfer Operations for tender assessments for minor and major projects.
- Leadership in safety management during construction activities.
- Providing expert technical direction to the Sewerage Transfer Team.
- Critically reviewing overall process performance, identify opportunities for improvement and troubleshooting as required.
- Responsible for critically reviewing Emergency Response Plans, Technical Reference Documents and conducting site HAZID activities.
- Assist with the development of programs of investment including program performance objectives for the WTP & Sewerage Transfer portfolio, and collaborate with others across the business to monitor, assess and respond to Program performance.

On completion of your training, and when required, this position has an on-call roster where you will be required to work some weekends on an on call basis with 24/7 availability. An on-call allowance will be paid to compensate for this.

**About you**:

- Tertiary degree in relevant engineering or discipline field (e.g. electrical, process, civil, mechanical) or extensive experience in related area.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of service planning processes and/or asset management and planning, risk assessment and management techniques, and project and program management.
- Technical leadership and guidance in relation to complex works, projects and programs.
- Demonstrated capability to practically evaluate options and proposals
- Strong financial acumen in the context of minor and major capital Works
- Registered Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Environment Engineer or Qualification that would allow for this registration.
- Pre-employment Criminal Record, Health Assessment and AusCheck Required.
