**Vet Assistant**
**$27.64 per hour Part Time, fixed term contract**
**Sea World, Main Beach, Gold Coast**

**About the role**:
Assist the veterinarian maintain the health and welfare of the animal collection at Sea World and Paradise Country.

**Duties**:

- Maintain the veterinary centre in a tidy and hygienic condition
- Maintain the equipment in the veterinary centre and make sure all equipment is working satisfactorily
- Assist the veterinarian to maintain the preventative medical programs across the Parks
- Assist the veterinarian with any animal procedures
- Dispense and administer drugs to animals under the supervision of the veterinarian
- Assist in rescues and rehabilitation of sick, injured or orphaned wildlife presented to Sea World or Paradise Country

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experience working as a veterinary nurse.
- Experience working with native and/or exotic species.
- Attained or enrolled in Cert IV veterinary nursing
