We are seeking a proactive and experienced 2IC Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in a fast-paced DC/warehouse environment, a valid forklift license, and proficiency in inventory management systems, including Cin7, as well as Microsoft Office applications.Responsibilities Staff Management & Task Allocation : Assist in supervising warehouse staff, delegating tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules.Forklift Operations : Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading and unloading trucks, as well as moving goods within the warehouse.Inventory Control : Maintain accurate inventory records using Cin7 and Excel, conduct regular stocktakes, and reconcile discrepancies.Container Handling : Oversee the unloading and loading of shipping containers, ensuring proper documentation and storage procedures are followed.Truck Loading/Unloading : Coordinate and supervise the loading and unloading of delivery trucks, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.Computer Proficiency : Utilize EDI, Microsoft Word, Excel, and email platforms for reporting, communication, and documentation purposes.Safety Compliance : Ensure all warehouse activities comply with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.Qualifications / Attributes Preferred AttributesLeadership : Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Customer-centric : Clear understanding of customer delivery timelines / delivery windowsProblem-Solving : Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly.Adaptability : Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads in a dynamic warehouse setting.Benefits Competitive salary packageOpportunities for career advancementComprehensive training and development programsSupportive team environmentApplication questions Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
