**About the Role**
We're seeking a motivated Store Person to join our team and play a key role in the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This position supports smooth daily operations by maintaining accurate inventory, well-organised storage areas, and timely distribution of materials and equipment across the business. Working closely with a supportive team, the Store Person helps drive operational efficiency and contributes to the success of ongoing projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Safely operate an overhead crane for loading and unloading goods
- Load and unload trucks in line with safety procedures
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming goods against delivery dockets and purchase orders
- Accurately enter materials into the inventory management system
- Organise and deliver materials to appropriate storage locations
- Pick, pack, and check orders for dispatch
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on machinery and equipment
- Complete pre-start equipment checks as required
- Pick up and deliver goods between sites or locations as needed
- Conduct regular cycle counts and support stocktake processes
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environmentLiaise with supervisors, site personnel and office staff to ensure all tasks are accomplished safely and efficiently.
**Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience in a stores, warehousing, or logistics role (desirable)
- Current forklift licence
- Current drivers licence
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude to safety and accuracy
- familiarity with stock management systems or basic computer skillsexcellent time management skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
