Salesforce Appexchange Product Owner

As a Product Owner, you will take ownership of the product planning and marketing of our managed packages that enhance the Salesforce experience, and more specifically related to payment processing. Key areas of the role include feature development and prioritisation, customer engagement, marketing and product documentation. You will liaise directly with our clients and industry to understand key needs and define product vision. From there you will work closely with our cross-functional teams to help them design, build and achieve a commercially successful product. You also need to stay across changes within the Salesforce ecosystem (Salesforce updates, competitors, new market opportunities) to keep your products stable, relevant and more value-adding.

Our ideal Product Owner will have Salesforce experience, worked within the for-purpose sector and is willing to be hands-on with seeking customer feedback. We expect you to be passionate about building products that customers love. You also should be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Our head office is in North Sydney, where Sydney based staff are encouraged to work at least one day a week onsite. Australian based staff outside of Sydney are encouraged to join our quarterly in-person events at North Sydney.

**Product Manager responsibilities are**:

- Identify/fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Research, understand and analyse customer needs and expectations
- Develop buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
- Review and update product pricing and positioning strategies
- Prepare and prioritise product requirements and prototypes, based on the product strategy
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
- Work with marketing, executives, and other product management team members to launch and promote your products in line with product strategy
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
- Build relations with customers and partners to solicit feedback on company products and services
- Ensure all products and features are tested for quality assurance purposes

**Product Manager requirements are**:

- An entrepreneurial mindset to own, problem solve and deliver a commercial product
- 3+ years experience in roles with similar responsibilities (ie business analyst, product owner or product marketer)
- Experience with project completion from start to finish
- Experience managing all aspects of a successful product/solution throughout its lifecycle
- Experience developing product and marketing strategies and effectively communicating recommendations to executive management
- A collaborative approach to requirements gathering, prioritisation and solution design
- Proven customer advocacy and ability to consult and advise customers
- Excellent understanding of software development and web technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superb time management and multitasking skills
- Ideally experience working within an Agile framework using project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Ideally Salesforce experience and relevant Salesforce certifications
