Your Role and Responsibilities:

- Dialling in and fine-tuning the always delicious, specialty coffee beans from Five Senses and other local/international roasters.
- Lead and manage front-of-house operations, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Craft exceptional coffee beverages with precision and creativity.
- Engage and build relationships with our customers, enhancing their coffee experience.
- Work closely with the café team, including coordination with our kitchen staff.
- Manage stock ordering and maintain the POS system effectively.
- When necessary, conduct team meetings, training, and uphold workplace health and safety standards.
- Embrace and promote the vision and values of Meraki Coffee in your leadership style.
- Remain flexible to step out of the coffee machine to lend a hand to your colleagues when needed

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a barista (minimum 2 years in Australia).
- Knowledge in Espresso brewing and alternative brewing methods such as pour overs, hot & cold batch brew
- Ability to work with multiple grinders and with variety of beans simultaneously
- Ability to troubleshoot grind settings, machine (volumetric settings) and temperature settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills, conflict management, and team leadership abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain excellence in service.
- A service-oriented attitude with a commitment to the community and team values.

Business Operating Hours:

- MON-SUN 7 am to 3 pm

**Salary**: $24.97 - $35.12 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 38 per week
