About the roleAs the Principal Engineer (Ripley PDA), you will be part of the Development Planning Branch, responsible for leading engineering assessments of development applications within the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area (PDA).
Your main focus will be to provide expert engineering advice and decision-making on complex development applications in the Ripley Valley PDA.Key responsibilities include:Providing specialist engineering adviceExercise balanced judgement in accordance with relevant legislation for additional information requestsConducting engineering assessments of complex development applications, including large subdivisions, material change of use, operational works, and compliance assessmentsPerforming maintenance inspections and post-development processes, including offset application assessmentsCoordinating with engineers, planners, and external partnersGuiding and mentoring team members on engineering matters in the Ripley Valley PDAReviewing assessment processes for improvementsView the position description for more details.About youTo succeed, you will have:Alignment with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadershipAn optimistic approach, commitment to excellence, and leadership skills with technical expertise and care for outcomesA passion for leadership, innovation, and community impactStrong work ethic, deep knowledge, and a fearless attitude towards complex issuesA degree in civil engineering or related field from a recognised universityCurrent Queensland C class driver's licenseBenefits include:Permanent full-time position with a starting salary of $133,727 plus 12.5% superannuationPositive workplace culture promoting inclusivity and supportWork/life balance initiativesDiversity and inclusion effortsOngoing learning and development opportunitiesHealth and well-being programsLeave options including annual leave with 17.5% loading and cultural leaveSalary packaging optionsAbout usIpswich, a city of rich heritage and vibrant communities, is Queensland's fastest-growing city.
