Senior Platform Engineer

OverviewScope: As a Senior Platform Engineer at RecordPoint, you are an experienced professional who uses your expertise and problem-solving skills to collaboratively develop new features and improve existing components of our SaaS platform.
You will run technical streams of work, coordinating several engineers as you research, scope, design, estimate, and implement new features.
You'll help determine the future set of features for the platform and how we address technical debt.
You will be both an individual contributor and an exemplary teammate.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and maintaining platforms, tooling, and software applications for our clients, ensuring the highest level of quality, reliability, and performanceHelp to design, build, test, and support the platform and tooling for the wider Application Engineering teamParticipating in the design and build of a secure-by-design environment with our customer\'s data privacy concerns in mindProviding technical leadership and mentorship to other team members of all levels of seniority including graduates and junior engineersParticipating in code reviews and ensure that coding standards and best practices are followedTaking ownership of the productionisation, robustness and scalability of featuresWorking with cross-functional teams to ensure that software applications are integrated with other systems as requiredKeeping up to date with the latest developments in software engineering and technology, and apply them to the development of our software applicationsWhat You\'ll DoDrive large, complex projects autonomously, from technical design to launchAct as Technical Lead on streams of work within the team providing guidance and management of several engineersDetermine plans of attack on large projects; guiding implementation phases, translation of high level requirements / design into work items for engineersTackle complex architectural challenges, and apply architectural standards on new projectsPartner across engineering teams to tackle company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projectsMentor more junior members of the teamIdentify gaps and technical debt and help shape them into future streams of technical work to improve reliability, performance, and usability of the platformHelp define and ensure data compliance/governance in accordance with different frameworks and legislation across the globeWork with internal Risk teams as well as 3rd party auditors and penetration testing groups to validate security and compliance of the platform and productAbout YouExceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skillsExtensive experience crafting and building software using the latest delivery techniquesA real passion for quality, clean code, and continuous improvement; a strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution designTake end-to-end ownership of the work you\'re doingDemonstrable ability to motivate self and others, and a passion to mentor junior engineersAbility to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholdersConsiders the customer impact when making technical decisionsA real appetite for learning and growing, both as an individual and teammateA test-and-learn mindset with an emphasis on curiosity, collaboration, and careSome of the technologies and patterns we're working on.NET Core, .
