Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

An opportunity is now available to join the Nepean Facilities team as a Wardsperson. This position is responsible for transporting patients and items throughout the hospital and providing assistance to patients within the clinical setting. These services must be performed in a courteous and efficient manner with particular attention to customer service. This is a fast paced role that will see you time manage your day and adapt well to movement and change.

As a Wardsperson, you will respond to request by nursing staff. In the case of an emergency or disaster, you will inform the Registered Nurse of any changes in the patient condition. Key duties will include collecting patient pharmacy items and other care requirements delivering them to the required destination in a timely manner.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of customer service
- Ability to work Mornings, Evenings & Night duty shifts, across a 7 day week roster
- Able to demonstrate problem solving an prioritisation skills in a work environment
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the position as listed in the physical requirements in the position description
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Able to demonstrate a reasonable understanding of work health and safety
- Current driver's licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
