The purpose of this role is to lead the design, development, testing and implementation of automation functionality and system design, partnering with project teams within Supply Chain and Store Operations, in order to offer high quality solutions.
Reporting into the Automation Functional Design Manager, you will gather business requirements & effectively develop them into functional design & system requirements. You will partner with our software vendor partners to review, test & provide feedback of test cases, aligned with functional requirements.
Working in a passionate and supportive team, time will be spent building relationships and creating engagement, as well as:
- Review and provide feedback of vendor proposals relating to the layout and design of automation within the facility, particularly in the area of system functionality to support the DC / System design and vendor selection
- Support the development and delivery of project business cases
- Lead the review and approval of functional specifications delivered by the vendor
- Facilitate the design, review and sign off of the host interface specifications, aligned with functional requirements
- Support the design, review and testing of the interface/infrastructure requirements
- Participate were required in site continuous improvement programs
**About You
Our new team member will be driven and passionate, keen to get things done and able to make an impact in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for a team player with:
- Broad operational experience in supply chain or warehouse control systems, preferably in automation,
- Previous experience elaborating and reviewing functional specifications
- Project management experience, ideally in managing end-to-end multi-million dollar spend facility automation projects across a large organisation and geography
- Strong business partnering skills with ability to influence & gain credibility with senior stakeholders and project teams
- Well developed consulting toolkit and problem solving skills - an analytical, innovative and creative mindset
- An understanding of the key drivers of supply chain costs, store replenishment systems chain and store operations
- Proven experience of attending and resolving the critical issues within tight timelines
- Ability to be self-directed; to structure and manage workloads and be an independent contributor to the team
- Communication, Negotiation and Influencing skills
