OverviewSales Representative Trainee (Sydney, Australia)The Musco Australia Sales Team has an opening for a Sales Representative Trainee based in the Greater Sydney Area.
This role is the initial phase in our sales training program, aimed at developing proficient sales representatives for the Australian market.
You will acquire knowledge of Musco's systems and sales strategy, engage in sales initiatives, client interactions, and contribute to project tasks to prepare for progression to a Sales Representative role.Essential CriteriaMust have work authorization in Australia, be an Australian citizen or hold permanent residency in AustraliaAbility and willingness to attend in-person training for an extended amount of time.
Training is held at our Corporate Headquarters located in Oskaloosa, Iowa (United States)Entry-level university graduate with 0-3 years of previous work experienceUniversity degree in Sports Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Business, or a related fieldPassion for selling and building trusting relationships with customersStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSelf-disciplined and able to work independently to achieve resultsTenacious, able to persevere through sales challenges and setbacksInnovative problem-solving with a team-oriented mindsetAbility to travel up to 50%Roles And ResponsibilitiesEngage in a structured learning program to understand the market dynamics, Musco's products, and sales strategyParticipate in customer meetings and internal training sessions to learn the process of qualifying projects and understand customer needsConduct outreach initiatives, such as cold calling and networking, under guidance to develop communication and sales skillsAssist in developing educational strategies for various customer segments to gain insights into effective customer engagementLearn to effectively present and advocate for Musco's products and services by shadowing experienced sales personnelCollaborate with the internal team to support customer needs and contribute to team initiatives, gaining an understanding of the sales support processEngage in market research activities to understand the factors influencing sales and product success in the marketSupport Sales Management in strategic planning and operational tasks to gain perspectives on sales managementParticipate in tradeshows and conferences, assisting in promotional activities and market engagement under supervisionPrepare for progression to a Sales Representative role by adopting and practicing effective sales strategies and customer engagement techniquesAbout Musco AustraliaMusco, a privately held company since 1976, is the global leader in sports and large-area lighting solutions, with projects in 135 countries.
