**The Role**

Reporting into the Head of Commissions within our NITV Commissions team this role will see you undertake the following duties.
- The role of Commission Editor will see you deliver First Nations authored programs that are entertaining, innovative, and impactful that reflect the diverse representation of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through all genres and formats.
- The successful applicant will oversee development and production to a high editorial standard that delivers distinctive First Nation voices and perspectives.
- Establish and foster effective working relationships with colleagues, screen organisations and production companies locally and internationally.
- Collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders to ensue delivery of projects are on schedule, cost-effective and to broadcast standard.
- Liaise with various NITV and SBS divisions to ensure project delivery aligns with SBS contract guidelines.
- Editorially evaluate pitch submissions and make recommendations on their suitability to the Commissions team.

**About you**
- A highly creative thinker who is passionate about sharing contemporary First Nation authored concepts and themes.
- Experience and knowledge in the Australian film industry or similar.
- Experience working with First Nation communities and a strong understanding of cultural protocols.
- Be a confident presenter that can communicate to a range of stakeholders.
- Willingness to embrace opportunities and eager to learn.
- Contribute to a dynamic team and work autonomously.
