We are looking for an experienced market buyer + produce worker to join our team in a small family-operated Greengrocer/deli located in the Cronulla area.

Serious experience at Sydney Markets is a must.

Role includes going to Sydney Markets 3 times/week to select, negotiate, purchase and deliver top quality fruit + veg for our store. Premium quality is a requirement of our customer base so this must be maintained, at competitive prices.

2 days additional produce work in store.

Only experienced market buyers need apply.

**Responsibilities**:
Sourcing product
- Products that fit the business
- Sound quality
- Value for money
- Diverse selections that are more market than supermarket

Supplier
- Commercial negotiations (daily)
- Inventory control
- OOS protection
- Product & system maintenance
- Source new supply and revitalise range

Pricing
- Set pricing in line with category margin requirements
- Ongoing competitive price reviews
- Ongoing store price maintenance

Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in retails buying or a similar role
- A passion for food
- Sound understanding of supply & demand forecasting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to $78,000.00 per year
