Description and Responsibilities
Deliver a holistic education in Science (and Mathematics as appropriate) to Years 7-10 within a collaborative, student-centered environment.
Plan, implement, and review learning programs aligned with curriculum, policies and practices.
Maintain professional standards as defined by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
Manage students in the classroom and wider school community with a focus on safety, respect, and engagement.
Uphold the values and Christian ethos of the School.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience teaching Science and Mathematics in middle years (Years 7-10), and Senior Physics and/or Chemistry and/or Senior Mathematics is desirable.
Qualified Teacher, registered with, or eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across knowledge, practice and engagement.
Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum: Science and Mathematics.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to engaging with colleagues, students, parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes.
Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and Anglican ethos of the School.
