About the Role
Contribute to patient care by providing administrative and clinical assistance to allied health professionals (AHP) in their day-to-day clinical duties. Works under the supervision and direction of the AHP and undertakes only those clinical tasks delegated to them.
- Provide a range of individual patient interventions as delegated by the AHP and work under the direction of AHPs. The AHP determines tasks the AHA is competent to perform.
- Prepare and /or implement individual or group treatment programs for patients under the supervision and direction of the therapists and report on patient performance as required.
- Assist with the personal care, manual handling and transport of patients.
- Undertake the transport, set up, monitoring and care of clinical equipment, therapy material, educational resources, and assistive devices.
