Join an established Geelong based NFP looking to appoint a Finance Analyst in a newly created role.

Hays Recruitment is currently partnered with a well-established Geelong based NFP organisation. A leader in their field, this is a great opportunity to join a strong and growing finance team.

**Your new role**

Reporting into the Finance Manager and supporting the wider team, this will be a strategic role covering a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

- Maintain the organisation's 5-year outlook financial modelling to support strategic decision-making
- Prepare financial models to support investment decisions, including M&A opportunities
- Conduct financial analysis monthly - ensuring compliance with revenue recognition requirements and allocation of expenses.
- Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline month-end processes.
- Support strategic projects, with accounting insight and financial data.
- Ensuring that balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled - investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- General Ledger management adhering to Australian accounting standards ensuring completeness and accuracy.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous experience within Management accounting /Business Analyst roles
- Demonstrated ability in identifying complex business drivers and risks, how these translate into accounting and effective communication to stakeholders
- Ability to work in a complex and challenging environment and in multi-disciplined teams, in a reliable and highly professional manner
- Demonstrated skills and experience in building highly effective, collaborative partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
