This investment includes a new high-speed can body line, boosting our capacity by 13% and featuring cutting-edge decoration and quality systems.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Day Electrician will be responsible for performing on-going maintenance of machinery, breakdown repairs to equipment and services on site to assist in meeting or exceeding site objectives.
The role will actively pursue electrical maintenance improvements in order to achieve production targets and improve plant uptime while promoting an exemplary safety ethic.This is a day shift role, working Monday to Friday (6am - 2:30pm) with the opportunity for overtime.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct preventative maintenance according to Maintenance strategyRespond to machine breakdowns and take corrective action promptlyTroubleshoot machines and equipment by making an assessment of a particular problem and estimating duration of time to repaiInstall, disassemble, assess, repair and reassemble machines, equipment and componentsConnect services where requiredAssist in the training and knowledge transfer to new starters and existing teamLiaise with relevant personnel to ensure that all activities are conducted accurately and where problems arise, they are resolved promptly.Complete project improvement worksAbout YouTrade Qualification - Electrical Mechanic Licence or equivalentPLC, Variable Speed Drive and Instrumentation experiencePrevious experience in a similar role within a high-speed manufacturing environmentPrevious maintenance experience (preventative and corrective)Strong problem-solving ability to troubleshoot control systems, processes and mechanical faults on equipmentDemonstrated commitment to safety, health and the environmenHow to ApplyClick on APPLY NOW.
