**THE COLLEGE**

**THE POSITION**
The College is seeking an experienced Teacher Aide to join our Learning Enhancement Team, commencing in Term 3 on Monday 14 July 2025, through to the end of the school year. This fixed-term position involves direct support of students in Years 7-12 and is for Mondays only, 5.92 hours per day.
We are also seeking experienced Teacher Aides in the secondary space to join our Learning Enhancement Team in a casual capacity, to be engaged as relief opportunities arise.

All staff are employed by the CEO and Executive Principal of MBC and MBBC and they are responsible to them for the over-all performance of their duties. The CEO and Executive Principal delegates their authority to senior staff members for the effective management of the College. The role is reports to the Principal.

All staff need to be supportive of the values, Christian ethos and Ethical Statement of this Uniting Church Day school for boys from Kindy to Year 12.

**SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** _The Teacher Aide will _be required to:_
- Work as part of a team to provide quality educational service and care for verified and NCCD students
- Assist teachers with the management of students and enhancement of student learning
- Supervise and assist Secondary students who have a reduced load and attend study periods
- Supervise assessments and exams for students
- Provide individual in-class and small group support
- Support students with modified programmes
- Maintain daily note taking and administrative duties
- Attend timetabled Playground Duties
- Support and encourage students to develop independence
- Attend weekly Learning Enhancement meetings

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**

We welcome applicants who bring some or all of the following:

- Certificate III in Education Support
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a Secondary Teacher Aide or Tutor
- Experience working with students in a Secondary school setting
- Experience supporting students in Years 11 and 12 English, Maths and Science classes

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
- Posses or be eligible to posses a Positive Notice Blue Card ("Blue Card") from the Queensland Department of Justice.
- First Aid Certificate is desirable

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- An office workspace and computer desktop is provided.
- Daily tasks are conducted anywhere within the Colleges and travel may be required between the Colleges.

**CONDITIONS AND SALARY**
- Fixed-time, part-time role: Mondays only, 5.92 hours per day
- Casual hours available as relief opportunities arise.
- This role is classified School Officer Level 3, with a starting rate of $31.93 per hour. The salary will be determined based on experience, in accordance with the Moreton Bay Boys' College Enterprise Agreement.
