So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you\u2019ll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.At The Moment, This Role Is Focused OnDesign, develop and deploy internal solutions and hands-on software development – working closely with leads, designers, and product managers to deliver features and services to our internal customersPrimarily working on the backend with Java, but may need to work with other languages and environmentsFacilitate knowledge sharing and optimally advocate for engineering needs to technical and non-technical team members within the groupModel initiatives and ownership in achieving goals, improving processes and solutionsFind opportunities for cross-team collaboration to work on new insights and improvements that help achieve our goalsYou're probably a match if you haveCommercial experience in a software development environment.Working collaboratively with team members and communicating effectively.Extensive experience with Java, Distributed Systems and Relational DatabasesAbility to write performant, reusable code, including appropriate testingGood writing and verbal communication skillsNice to haveExperience working with AWSUnderstanding the concept of A/B testing and experimentationExperience in full-stack developmentAbout The TeamThe Experimentation Platform team is responsible for managing the internal experimentation tools, services, and processes utilized by hundreds of Canvanauts.
Our goal is to Accelerate growth & delight by helping Canva learn from every single user.
This is accomplished through a custom in-house platform that caters to Canva's requirements and methodologies, empowering all engineers and product managers to make informed and thoroughly tested decisions for the benefit of Canva users, primarily through A/B testing techniques.About The RoleWe're seeking backend engineers who are eager to dive into the complex realm of A/B testing, measurements, and data analysis.
As part of this team, you'll collaborate closely with seasoned Data Scientists and Engineers across the company on projects that impact Canva as a whole.
Experimentation lies at the heart of our growth, and by working on our internal experimentation service, you'll directly influence nearly every service within the company.
