We hold 100+ direct investments into broking, underwriting agency, and health and rehabilitation businesses, with a further 100+ businesses held by our subsidiaries.The Procurement & Risk Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting procurement operations across AUB Group, focusing on vendor management, assisting in contract reviews, and facilitating third-party risk.
This role ensures that third-party engagements meet both commercial and cybersecurity standards, aligning with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks.In addition to supporting procurement planning and risk assessments, the role assists with the coordination of contract lifecycles, maintaining a centralised contract repository, and contribution to supplier selection and consolidation efforts.
The Procurement & Risk Support Specialist helps drive cost optimisation and operational resilience across the group.
Secondary to this, the role provides support across property and facilities functions, including lease administration, vendor coordination, and compliance with facilities-related obligations.The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for the following areas:ProcurementAssisting with strategic sourcing, vendor onboarding, and contract lifecycle management.Support due diligence, risk tiering, and compliance checks.Maintenance of procurement documentation, reporting dashboards, and supplier records.Liaison with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely approvals and contract execution.Contribution to supplier selection and consolidation efforts to optimise cost and streamline operations and identification of opportunities for cost optimisation and risk reduction.Third Party RiskPartnering with Second Line of Defence roles such as Head of Procurement, IT Security, Data and others to assess vendor risk, especially for technology and cloud-based services.Coordinating due diligence questionnaire responses and supplier onboarding assessments.Supporting oversight and monitoring of procurement & risk tool.Contract Review & Compliance:Review and negotiation of vendor contracts, with the support of the Group Head of Procurement, and ensure favourable terms and compliance with relevant standards.Collaborate with Legal and IT Security to assess clauses related to data protection, breach notification, and system access.Maintain a centralised contract repository and support the business owners with contract lifecycles, including renewals and amendments.Additionally, the position has a focus on facilities and leases, assisting with coordination, vendor management, and compliance, providing administrative support for lease documentation, renewals, and facilities-related obligations and offering assistance in document preparation and liaison with property managers and landlords.We are on the lookout for someone who has the following skills and experience:Qualification in Business, or a related field or a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement, contract review, and vendor management.Strong understanding of policy frameworks, regulatory standards (e.g. ISO27001, APRA CPS 234, ASIC guidelines), and cybersecurity principles.Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.In return, we offer great benefits, as well as a competitive salary and a fantastic culture and environment.Any offer of employment is dependent upon the satisfactory completion of background checks by AUB Group or by an external third-party on our behalf.AUB Group welcomes all people regardless of ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, and gender identity, and we are dedicated to providing a workplace environment that supports and values diversity, inclusion and equality.
