Being an OSHC educator holds a lot of flexibility to prioritise study or family needs, and at the Y, you might just discover a family of your own - we have a supportive on the ground and at head office.

**What being an OSHC Educator Entails**

OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children - such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.

As an OSHC Educator you will:

- hold a rewarding, challenging and interesting position;
- be able to allocate your availability to suit study or family needs;

**Your workspace at the Y**

**YMCA Seven Hill Outsider School Hours Care (OSHC) **is located inside of Seven Hills State School, licensed for up to 180 children and we offer Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care between 6.30am
- 6pm.

Our service has a brilliant relationship with the school. Through this we have access to majority of the school for our licensed areas. Our educational leader takes pride in developing programs aimed at our children's interest. In turn this makes the children want to return. Staff take pride in building strong relationships with children, their families and other staff.

Our children and Educators enjoy working together to bring our inclusive space to life and ensuring our program is engaging with a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences.

Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children's agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.

The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 50 + services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.

**To be successful you must have**:

- A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or if you are studying towards a relevant qualification
- A Fantastic sense of fun & a tremendous imagination
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Blue Card or willing to obtain one
