Enrolled Nurse – Night Shift (Winter Surge Beds) at John Hunter Hospital. Permanent night duty in a low-acuity, high-support environment offering professional fulfilment and work-life balance.
Remuneration: $32.79 - $35.63 Per Hour + 12% Super + Salary Packaging. Employment Type: Temporary Full Time, Temporary Part Time until November 2025. Hours Per Week: Up to 38. Location: John Hunter Hospital, Awabakal. Requisition ID: REQ596659. Applications Close: Sunday 7th September 2025.

Where You'll Be Working
Endoscopy and Cardiac Cath Lab unit, John Hunter Hospital, located in New Lambton Heights. The area cares for inpatients from a broad range of specialties, with generally independent patients and lower clinical acuity. You will be supported by a Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Educators who provide leadership, mentorship, and development.
Responsibilities
Deliver individualised, high-quality patient care under the guidance of experienced Registered Nurses.
Collaborate with the nursing team and allied staff to ensure safe, effective care.
Support a calm, well-supported environment for night shift patients and staff.
Requirements
Enrolled Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA. Medication Endorsed where applicable.
Permanent night shift availability.
Compassionate, patient-centred care; detail-oriented; professional and ethical conduct.
Ability to prioritise and manage time in a dynamic environment.
Eligibility and Benefits
Eligible Enrolled Nurses may apply for a $3,000 Transition to Practice Education Scholarship (pro-rata for part-time).

4 weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part-time); 6 weeks for eligible full-time nurses; paid parental leave for eligible employees.
