A personal project based in Oslo is seeking a video editor to produce engaging YouTube videos in Norwegian. The content is talking head style but requires creative editing to add depth, visual appeal, and storytelling "spice." The preferred editing style draws inspiration from Vox, Johnny Harris, "Huge If True," and Ali Abdaal, with an emphasis on infographics, animations, and visual overlays rather than simple cuts. The editor must be fluent in Norwegian to fully understand and edit the spoken content. This is a freelance remote project with the possibility of ongoing collaboration if the initial edit is successful.
Responsibilities
Edit Norwegian talking head YouTube videos with a dynamic, professional style.
Integrate infographics, charts, text overlays, and animations to support the narrative.
Enhance pacing and flow while maintaining clarity and engagement.
Apply color grading, audio balancing, and transitions to achieve a polished finish.
Collaborate closely on style direction to align with references such as Vox and Johnny Harris.
Deliver final edits optimized for YouTube upload in appropriate formats.
Skills and Requirements
Fluency in spoken and written Norwegian is essential.
Proven experience editing YouTube or social media content with strong visual storytelling.
Proficiency in professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
Strong skills in motion graphics, animation, and infographics integration.
Understanding of YouTube content trends and audience engagement strategies.
Ability to work independently in a remote setup and deliver within deadlines.
Creativity and attention to detail to ensure content is both educational and visually captivating.
