We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Affairs Manager to join the Stan Originals team and be an integral part of Stan, the unrivalled home of original TV and film productions.
Reporting to the Head of Business Affairs, you will be tasked with living out the Stan values and executing a number of key responsibilities, including:Partnering with Creative executives on all commercial aspects of developing and commissioning Stan Originals, including managing all aspects of the deal negotiation.Working closely with the Legal team at Stan, to document and execute development agreements, commissioning agreements, funding agreements and distribution agreements.Developing market expertise by continually focusing on market trends and keeping abreast of upcoming content opportunities.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:5+ years' experience in a business affairs role at a commissioner, producer or funder; in content acquisition or sales, or as a commercial lawyer with experience in complex rights negotiations and knowledge of intellectual property.Experience in structuring, drafting, negotiating and implementing complex deals and offers for scripted and non-scripted content, including scripted series, feature films, documentaries and entertainment formats.Experience dealing with Australian and international funders in relation to TV and Film deals, including Australian federal and state funding bodies, and international distributors.The ability to read, understand and consult on finance plans, budgets and cost reports.The ability to think creatively, strategically and commercially, with a strong sense of accountability.Excellent organisational and time-management skills.Great analytical and critical thinking skills, alongside the ability to manage detailed information.A demonstrated ability to create and nurture both internal and external relationships.The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to autonomously manage multiple projects at once to meet all deadlines.Passion and enthusiasm – with a love of TV & Movies and the ability to thrive in an environment where you get to bring some of the best content to an Australian audience.Excited by what you read?
