**ROLE: DBT Tester (Data Build Tool)**

**LOCATION: Melbourne**

We are seeking a skilled Data Tester to join our team in a pivotal hybrid role that combines both development and testing expertise. This position focuses on ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data pipelines, platforms, and transformations. With a strong emphasis on automation and quality engineering, you will help uphold high standards of data integrity that support critical business functions. **Role Requirements**:

- Build automated data validation scripts (e.g., using **Pytest, DBT tests**)
- Data Quality Validation
- **ETL/ELT Testing**:

- Use tools like **DBT Cloud, Great Expectations, Decube, or custom SQL suites**:

- CI/CD Integration
- Embed data tests into the **CI/CD pipeline** (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Strong **SQL and Python**:

- Familiarity with **data warehousing** (e.g., Snowflake)
- Understanding of **data modeling concepts (e.g., 3NF, Data Vault, Dimensional)**:

- Experience with **orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT)**
