**Position Objective**
The Technology Systems Coordinator is responsible for providing technical advice relating to ICT
across Council and to undertake day to day trouble shooting and maintenance activities to ensure
that ICT systems are meeting user needs within the organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**
**_Information Technology _**
- Manage, support and maintain the ICT function and infrastructure, providing system
administration and technical support and advice to end users within Council
- Be the designated link with Council's ICT Solutions providers and troubleshoot technical
issues as they arise
- Provide or source training for all ICT end users, including induction of new employees, in
consultation with the Director of Corporate and Financial Services and HR
- Manage the ICT contractors to make sure their services are being delivered as per the
agreed Service Level Agreements and contracts
maintenance of software modules and other databases to meet Council requirements and
needs
- Assist the Director of Corporate and Financial Services with budget preparation relating to
ICT needs and priorities
- Responsible for the management of Councils ICT budget
- Provide the organisation with all necessary technical advice relating to ICT including
Security, Cybersecurity and Privacy Management as determined by industry best practice
- Procure, Plan, install and co-ordinate the software and hardware upgrades including
maintaining a current register of software licenses and asset register
- Keep up to date with industry ICT technology changes and assess and make
recommendations to the Director of Corporate and Financial Services on potential system
development and quality control standard improvement opportunities
- In consultation with the Director of Corporate and Financial Services, ensure relief
arrangements for any absences of the ICT Coordinator to ensure the ongoing integrity of
Council's ICT system
- Develop, implement and review ICT strategy, Policies and Procedures including Induction
Manual
- Manage and Deliver any ICT related projects across the Council as directed by the Director
of Corporate & Financial Services
- Manage the telecommunications account and Authority Support Account as the Authorised
representative from the Council.
- Maintain good relationships with internal & external stakeholders
