**About the Role**
An exciting opportunity to join BOQ Group (which includes Bank of Queensland, ME Bank and Virgin Money Australia) has arrived As a Cyber Security Analyst - Incident Response and Threat Management, you will be joining BOQ Group during our transformation journey to be the digital bank of the future. This permanent role will enable you to add significant value to our organisation by maintaining and improving BOQ Groups capability in detecting and responding to cyber threats (current and emerging). With exciting projects currently underway, you will be a key contributor to unique business development and change across BOQ Group.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Security Monitoring**
- Engage Security Operations Centre (SOC) service to ensure timely detection and alerting of security events.
- Drive ongoing capability and maturity uplift (detect, respond and recovery) by considering people, processes and technologies.
- Develops and maintains an understanding of Cyber Security industry issues, trends; particular in the areas of cyber threats, legal and regulatory compliance in an 'on-prem', outsourced and cloud hosted IT service delivery environments.
- Ensure a seamless workflow of security analytics into operations by collaborating with the Cyber Infrastructure & Automation team to integrate security solutions into real-time monitoring as well as automating detect and response capabilities.
**Incident Response**
- Lead and Respond to level 3 security incidents in a timely manner.
- Review level 1 and level 2 security incident triage and remediation processes through regular spot checks
- Expand and improve Security Incident Management and Incident Response capability including re-design of processes and procedures encompassing tiers, severity, triage and communication.
- Develop, maintain and test Incident Response procedures.
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation (e.g. Cyber Integration & Automation, Infrastructure and Fraud) to streamline processes for security incidents.
**Threat Hunting**
- Lead and coordinate Threat Hunting activities.
- Progress the Threat Hunt maturity level.
- Implement best practice Threat Hunting methodologies.
- Leverage actionable Threat Intelligence to direct Threat Hunting expeditions
- Contribute to the Threat Hunting strategic direction.
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation (e.g. Cyber Integration & Automation) to streamline processes for monitoring and alerting.
**Threat Intel**
- Collect, process, and analyse cyber threat intelligence from a diverse range of sources in a timely manner.
- Utilise threat intel frameworks to create relevant and actionable intelligence reports.
- Develop and maintain Dark Web monitoring capability to enhance collection footprint.
- Develop and maintain a Cyber Threat Intelligence collection management process.

**About you**
As a collaborative cyber threat and response professional, you must be able to work as part of a team and under limited supervision, inhibiting a can-do attitude, good communication and the drive to learn within our supportive environment.
You will have extensive incident response experience in an 'on-prem', outsourced and cloud hosted IT service delivery environment. You understand threat hunting methodologies in alignment with industry frameworks (such as MITRE ATT&CK) and have strong knowledge of the cyber threat landscape in the financial services industry, supported by understanding tools and methodologies used by cybercriminals. Having experience working with investigation, security operations and engineering teams, you hold strong commercial acumen that provides you the ability to manage suppliers and service providers effectively.
