Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW.
We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice.
We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.As the Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a project to improve the recognition, inclusion, and support of families and carers within the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector.
This project includes the development and delivery of a practice review and a range of workforce capacity building resources.This is a part time (3 days per week) contract position until June 2026.Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:Tertiary qualifications in project management health, social sciences, social work or related disciplineMinimum 3 years' experience managing projects within the community, health, or AOD sectorsDemonstrated knowledge of, and experience in applying, evaluation methodologiesDemonstrated capacity to produce, or oversee the development of, high quality information and capacity building resourcesDemonstrated understanding of issues experienced by people living with AOD dependency and their families and carersProven ability to build rapport with team members, other organisations and service providersStrong time management and task prioritisation skillsHigh level written, oral communication and computer skillsAbility to work unsupervised and within a team environmentTo learn more about what we do, please visit our website, Employment Requirements:Satisfactory Police CheckCurrent Working with Children CheckCOVID-19 VaccinationRights to live and work in AustraliaSalary and BenefitsThe Salary is around $66K + super (for 3 days per week).
